SignTrak Gets New Dedicated Server
January 16, 2007
Current customers logging on to SignTrak may not notice a measurable increase in the speed of the application, but anyone who used it in 2006 will.
The demo site has a new home; its own partition in Information Alternatives’ brand new dedicated IBM server expected to go online at the end of January. “SignTrak has been running on our IBM iSeries where it competes against a broad range of other applications, development, and processes,” relates Ben Lane, Product Manager for SignTrak. “Now, we and our customers will have over 100% faster page loads and virtually no server page errors.”
President Mark Fullerton adds, “Both the pipe and the engine will be much bigger and faster with our new server. We will soon transfer our existing SignTrak customers, those with unique password protected secure sites, to the new server. We made the commitment early that as more distributors sign on with SignTrak, we will continue to upgrade server capacity to stay ahead of the game. We designed SignTrak to make the lives of the WD easier, and we believe faster, more responsive applications play an important role in ease of use.”
In addition to the immediately noticeable improvements in SignTrak’s speed, responsiveness and enhanced data archiving provided by the new IBM Server, InfoAlt has also upgraded their Internet Service Provider to a co-location arrangement with ISOCNET.
Fullerton explains, “The new state-of-the-art data center at ISOC includes dual power grids, redundant battery backup, dual generators, completely redundant climate control systems, dual fire suppression systems and two 100 megabit connections to the Internet with redundant backup connections and 24/7 monitoring.”
