What’s in a name?

The new custom POS solution developed by Information Alternatives for beverage distributors is now called SignTrak™. Originally called iPOS Sign Shop, the SignTrak name better describes what it is –a system to order, track, and manage custom POS with ease and flexibility.

“Our old name made the connection between the Internet, POS and Signage, but was too long and a bit clumsy on the tongue. SignTrak is so easy to use, we thought our name should follow suit and be easy to say,” says InfoAlt president, Mark Fullerton.

“We want to help distributors quickly and efficiently position their brands in their customers’ minds and on shelves. SignTrak streamlines the entire POS process from point of order, through production, and business analysis.”

SignTrak was developed with direct input from Anheuser Busch distributor Chas. Seligman Distributing Company of Walton, Kentucky. In March 2006, SignTrak and Chas. Seligman were featured on A-B Marketing’s Custom POS On Demand presentation and excerpts can be found in the Solutions Case Study.

“The product is solid but flexible,” says Fullerton. “We aren’t new to the distribution industry, having supported beverage distributors for over 22 years with a wide range of ERP and DRP software implementations. But this product is particularly exciting because we are eliminating the pain so often associated with POS management and control. Customers are up and running in days, and we have the skills and the willingness to build a custom application or modify SignTrak to fit the unique way our WDs may do business, regardless of brand affiliation.”

Our new logo demonstrates the ease and flexibility of SignTrak in its inherent simplicity and visual representation of signage that, standing on end, reflects the flexibility our customers will have using or customizing the product to meet their POS needs.
